Where Do I Start?

Whether it's a kitchen, bath, or any other space, we recommend you focus your energy on the big picture questions that only you can answer.  In other words, we need a vision, or at least some part of a vision.

How do I find my vision?

The absolute best source for information and ideas about your home is the houzz.com website. Houzz has literally millions of high quality, searchable, images of interior spaces.

Here's how it works:
1. Go to www.houzz.com & set up a profile.

2. Go to "Profile" and click on "Settings" then go to "Email Preferences" set the subscription and email preferences; and be sure to click on the "Update" button at the bottom of the screen. This will see that you get only the contact you want from houzz.com.

3. Create an idea book for each different space.  (Kitchen, Hall Bath, Master Bath, Etc.)

4. Using the search box at the top, type in whatever details you know about your vision (white cabinets, wood floors, red counter tops).  As the options appear, select the option that searches in Photos.

5. Scroll through the photos, clicking the save button at the bottom of each photo you like, and putting it in the appropriate idea book.

6. Go back through the idea book photos, adding comments about the specific details you like about each photo. Delete those photos you changed your mind about. Photos without comments are not of much use to anyone.

7. As you use this process, a vision will begin to come into focus. Once we know your vision, we can help you with the process of refining it, and adapting it to fit your space.

8. If you want help, just add collaborators - Idea book page, top of the screen, right below the the idea book name, click the + sign to add a collaborator.

9. Type in the email address of anyone with a Houzz account you want to collaborate with and click send. If you want help from us, here are the emails of our designers:
Warren Smith, CMKBD,CAPS - warrensmith@kitchen-restylers.com,

McKenzie Thoelke, CKBD - mckenziejohnson@kitchen-restylers.com

10. Your collaborators will get notified when you add photos and they also can add photos, products, comments, and drawings for you to consider.

11. If you don't have a vision yet, houzz and one of our designers will help you find it. Collaborating with your designer through the houzz.com web site is the best way to bring that vision into sharp focus.
