From concept to completion, we will lead you through this process with patience, creativity, humor, experience, & expertise. We don't stop till we get it right, that's our promise.
Step 1: Listen, understand, advise, & budget - We start with your thoughts, ideas, & vision for the project. Once we understand your vision, we are able to answer your questions regarding the scope, materials, products, design ideas, process, and the likely costs of your project.
Step 2:Measure & Photograph- Now that we know your vision, it's time to measure and photograph the spaces so we have accurate & detailed information to work with.
Step 3: Design the Physical Layout - Form follows function - First, we focus our attention on the functional aspects of the new space until we know it will function well for you. This process usually includes multiple concepts and revisions. We use 3D computer graphics to make visualization easy. Only after we know it will function well, do we begin to integrate style, personality, and theme elements into the design.
Step 4: Foundation-Setting Selections - What items will have the greatest impact on the style, feel, and costs? For kitchens, it's usually cabinets, countertops, appliances, and floors. For baths, it's usually cabinets, countertops, tubs, showers, and floors. Once those decisions are made, the style of the space begins coming into focus and the other decisions will now begin to flow naturally.
Step 5: The Estimate - Now that some major decisions are made, let's get a handle on the costs. We can now build an accurate cost estimate for your project. Our estimate will include the actual products selected, products needed, but not yet selected, and ala carte costs for all of optional features you might want. Our goal is to help you bring the project in, with the features you want, at a price you can live with.
Step 6: Vision-Completing Selections - We have a foundation and we have a handle on the costs. The next selections - backsplashes, hardware, lighting, paint, plumbing, etc - are made with an eye to complementing and completing the vision.
Step 7: Detailing & Documentation -Now that our vision for the space is in sharp focus, we concentrate on the details and making sure we get it right. Where does this paint color stop? What pattern shall we lay the floor tile in? What is the backsplash design? Grout color? Base Trim? - We use a detailed system to record these details on our drawings and descriptions to make sure they get faithfully executed by our craftsmen.
Step 8: Final Review & Agreement - All of the work we've done; the selections, drawings, details, etc are reviewed, tweaked, and included as part of our agreement with you. There will be no question as to what's included, who's doing what, & what the final cost is.
Step 9: Review, Engineer, & Order - This is where the rubber meets the road. We have to make sure everything will fit and work as designed. We go back to the beginning; We check measurements, our math, make sure appliances and plumbing fixtures will fit, add more detail to our drawings, add notes for our craftsmen, order all of the products, and plan the work, so it will flow smoothly & quickly.
Step 10: Build - Does a great chef just create a recipe for others to follow, or does he manage the nuances himself to guarantee an optimum outcome? Our team of pros will transform your space into it’s new reality under the supervision of the “chef” who planned it. Nothing gets lost in translation on our projects. We work diligently to create your new space quickly, efficiently, and beautifully - without compromising quality... ever.
Step 11:Inspect, Test, & Clean - As we near completion, it's time to finish strong. Your project will be subjected to a "white glove" style inspection. The project will be professionally cleaned. We inspect every detail, test every system, find every defect, and check off each detail, leaving your project as near to perfect as we can.
Step 12: Orientation & Warranty - We walk you through your completed project to make sure you understand the features and maintenance. If we designed it, recommended the products, supplied & installed them, and are here for the long haul, you can be sure we're going to take care of any warranty issues. Our reputation depends on it, and we've earned a reputation for excellence.
