The purpose of a design retainer is to allow us to give you our best design efforts, knowing that our design time is at least partially paid for.
Here's How it Works:
We will:
Prepare a finished floor plan and perspective based upon the preferred layout.
Obtain Subcontractor quotes for the work they must perform to do the project.
Prepare a comprehensive project estimate.
Prepare a schedule of cost options so that you have maximum flexibility in putting the project together to suit your needs.
Hold a consultation meeting to prevent the final plans, estimate, cost options and specifications, contracting for the project at this time.
Please be advised that the non-refundable retainer fee is applied against the total purchase price and that the plans are released when we have contracted for the Project.
Remodel & New Construction Projects
Design retainers may be applied to material & labor purchases only if the retainer amount is no more than 10% of the total purchase price, before sales tax.
Example 1: A $500 retainer may only be applied to a purchase exceeding $5,000 before sales tax.
Example 2: A $1,000 retainer may only be applied to a purchase exceeding $10,000 before sales tax.
Example 3: A $1,500 retainer may only be applied to a purchase exceeding $15,000 before sales tax.
